In my current series of colorful abstract paintings …

… my process-oriented gestures culminate into a sequence of undulating forms. From painting to painting I methodically build surfaces, guiding a system for altering formless fields into color panoramas. As vistas of variegated marks grow, they form what I consider to be scenes with distinct amorphous clusters.

Within these panels I build different levels of focus inside the painting to create forms that interrelate. As I continue this series, I aim to broaden further the chroma and interactions in the details of the paintings.

My process sharpens my intuition, and the colors continue to guide me. With each painting I continue to refine the methods, and assemble new spatial and physical conditions. This process-oriented approach enriches my paintings, and hones my skills.
